"Alison battled an aggressive form of breast cancer for 6 years before dying peacefully in her sleep in February 2009 aged just 45 years. Despite constant pain, chemotherapy and radiation treatment Alison managed to be positive and upbeat most of the time. Her death leaves a huge hole in the lives of many and she will be fondly remembered. I'm sure that she would have been delighted to know that I am doing this charity ride to raise money for Breast Cancer Care, who help people cope with side effects of living with breast cancer.
